BAMBASHKART

Europe

Background

Zdravko. AKA BambashkART. Kinda strange name right? Well he’s kinda strange too, so his name fit’s him well. He’s always found a way to shine among the others (in strange or stupid way of course). As a kid he always wanted to be near the computer and at the same time, create something. Now look at him, he’s standing at the computer and creating. What a happy fella.

Q&A

What is your goal with your artwork?

I want to bring joy to the weed lovers and make them feel a bit nostalgic with my vintage art.

Who/what are your biggest creative influences?

Magdiel Lopez, Emma Rodriguez, and a ton of other artists.

Do your current or past locations influence your artistic choices?

Yes, when I was in the United States with a student visa, I fell in love with Gil Elvgren’s work immediately.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am working on digitally animating my artworks.

How did you acquire your nickname?

We used the word “Bambashkaaaa” a lot with our friends. We used it like “Holy God Damn”, but after 10 years I met a Turkish guy who told me that “Bambashka” means “Very Different.” So that’s how I came up with my nickname “Bam-Bashka-Art”. Very Different Art.

What other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy calisthenics, cycling, exploring nature, traveling, and playing with my cats.

What brands represent your personal style?

I’m not in to brands. I’ve been buying stuff from thrift shops since 2005.
