BIG Wall Décor Showcased in Desert Home Makeover in Palm Springs Life Magazine

BIG Wall Décor releases a collection of artwork used to decorate “mid-century modern meets bohemian cowboy” aesthetic Airbnb featured in Palm Springs Life magazine.

BIG Wall Décor, a leading provider of large affordable wall art, is thrilled to announce its prominent feature in the article “How to Put Down Roots In the High Desert” in esteemed Palm Springs Life magazine. The article, written by Jessica Rit, spotlights the top-to-bottom home makeover by John Halbach and Kit Williamson, a creative couple known for their unique design aesthetic and successful careers in the entertainment industry.

In their second Yucca Valley home renovation, affectionately dubbed the “Benecia Oasis,” Halbach and Williamson have transformed a 1970s High Desert home to “create a Palm Spring experience in Joshua Tree.” The couple describes their aesthetic as “mid-century modern meets bohemian cowboy.” The result is an eclectic and visually stunning space that seamlessly combines rustic charm with a polished mid-century Palm Springs elegance. Benecia Oasis is available for rent on Airbnb.

BIG Wall Décor played an instrumental role in the interior design, with large prints serving as the focal point in four areas of the home.

Yellow Abstract Art in The Zoom Room

Halbach and Williamson kept remote/ hybrid work in mind when designing Benecia Oasis. They created the “Zoom Room” which is a walk-in closet that doubles as a comfortable, acoustically-sound work space. On one wall are shelves and racks for clothes. Centered in the room is a desk with a large yellow couch. Above the couch two pieces of abstract art from BIG Wall Décor, Poet and Classmate Reunion by Artur Chen hang side-by-side, creating a clean, professional looking Zoom background.

Blue Abstract Wall Art in Bedroom 2

The large empty white wall at the foot of the queen side bed in “Bedroom 2” on Benecia Oasis’ Airbnb listing features a bright blue abstract piece of art, At Sea by Artur Chen. The teal blue piece is reminiscent of crystal clean caribbean waters. The piece perfectly compliments the blue curtains and funky teal side tables in the blue and white minimalist bedroom.

Pair of Abstract Tropical Prints in Bedroom 3

Above each bedside table in the terracotta “Bedroom 3” are abstract tropical prints from artist Karine Tonial Grimm. The pink and orange in Tropical No 1 and Tropical No 2 perfectly accent the terracotta curtains and abstract shapes on the queen size bed’s accent pillows. The set of abstract art ties the room together.

Gallery Wall in Hallway

The hallway off of the kitchen features a trio of massive prints that form a stunning gallery wall. Two smaller horizontal custom prints of the couple hang stacked on top of each other. To the right, a massive minimalist square piece in yellow and white, Good Luck by Artur Chen, captures attention and brings energy to the space.

“We are thrilled to have our wall décor featured in John and Kit’s incredible home makeover,” said Brittaney Finnestad, Manager at BIG Wall Décor. “Their ability to blend different design elements and create such a cool aesthetic is incredible. We hope this feature inspires homeowners to explore creative ways to transform their spaces with our wall art.”

BIG Wall Décor is especially beneficial for Airbnb owners who are looking for affordable ways to decorate their listing so they stand out from the crowd. Their innovative two part wall art system makes large wall art 2-3X less expensive than the same size canvas. They offer a wide range of styles from abstract and minimal to pop and surreal, and sizes from 24” x 36” to 72” x 108.” With BIG Wall Décor, your space will have a unique aesthetic appeal that captivates.
