Q&A

What is your goal with your artwork?

My goal is to simply share the beauty I see in nature as best as I can recreate it on a screen.

Who/what are your biggest creative influences?

With the Instagram community being so vast and readily available, I’ve found all the friends that I’ve made on my travels (and at home) are my biggest creative influences. Seeing other’s passion just lights that fuel for me even further. Also, my grandma because she’s my biggest fan.

Do your current or past locations influence your artistic choices?

I’ve found that each new state or region requires its own editing style. You can’t just slap on the same filter on a photo from Hawaii as you can in British Columbia. The lighting, the foliage, and even the dirt are completely different. As a photographer you have to adapt to the areas around you in order to showcase their true colors.

What projects are you currently working on?

I’ve neglected my photography for far too long – whether from depression, or a lack of creative drive – I really need to go back to my roots and find what made me fall in love with photography all over again.

What other hobbies do you have?

I recently refound my love of chess. I also have been playing soccer since I was a young lad, and video games with my friends.

What brands represent your personal style?

I love what the Parks Project has been putting out lately. Basically any brand that focuses on sustainability and giving back to the environment will always have my support.

“Photography is the best outlet to express how I really feel. My goal is to simply share the beauty I see in nature as best as I can recreate it on a screen. ”
