“ Minimalism is my style. I find a way to create dynamic imagery by using simple shapes and bold strokes.”

Q&A

What is your goal with your artwork?

I present black culture, sub culture, and indie culture as classic Americana in my own unique style. I’m motivated by thoughtful design and creativity.

Who/what are your biggest creative influences?

Major influences are Warhol, Basquiat, Picasso, Charles and Ray Eames,  J.C. Leyendecker, Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt, Patrick Nagel, amd Keith Haring

Do your current or past locations influence your artistic choices?

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and my family was heavily involved in Gospel Music. My past has a big influence on my work. As a young adult I listened to all kinds of music and watched plenty of television shows. I absorbed everything from Soundtrack to chase-scene music and had a deep love for funk soul and R&B.

What projects are you currently working on?

I’m currently working with the company Cross Colours creating Iconic imagery of 80s 90s and today’s Hip Hop and R&B Pop Stars for apparel and accessories. I’m Also Working on a Project with the Walt Disney Company incorporating my style of art on a Group of Disney Characters. ( I can’t really go into detail).

What brands represent your personal style?

Herman Miller, Vans, Blue Note Records.
