Q&A

What is your goal with your artwork?

Our goal for our art is personal. We are trying to find a way out from the very hard times and situations that we’ve experienced in the past and the present though creating. Artistic expression is for us a portal to travel both inwards, to know our inner self and outside to know the world and to know God.

Who/what are your biggest creative influences?

The list of our influences is one that keeps growing. One of the first when we were children was the surrealist Rene Magritte and the surreal collages of the Nobel Winner Greek Odysseas Elytis to Japanese anime series of the 80s. A great part in our influences is the whole pop culture of the 80s and 90s when we were growing up. We really admire so many living artists and we follow and get inspired from them and we keep discovering new and amazing work constantly.

Do your current or past locations influence your artistic choices?

Yes, absolutely, it goes without saying that the cities we lived in, the rooms we filled, the streets we walked and the corners of the world that we have created memories in are always carried in our souls. So when we want to express ourselves, all of these come out as fragments in the collages we create.

What projects are you currently working on?

We have recently started exploring the world of NFTs and we try to learn new things everyday to develop our art and take it to the next level. We have been in a very creative phase lately and we are working towards limited edition works.

How did you acquire your nickname?

We wanted our alias name to sound like a normal name and we also wanted it to mean something. We came up with Frank Moth for 2 reasons. Frank is a synonym of “honest” and we believe that this is an essential principle that we want to convey in our art. Moth is a small unassuming brown butterfly but we have a folklore tradition here where moths are the souls of people that fly around the rooms they lived in.

What other hobbies do you have?

Playing Chess, drawing, painting, growing plants, and binge watching old American TV series from the 70s to 90s to name a few.

Artistic Tools
The most important tool for us is Photoshop.

We are self-taught in using it and we’ve spent many years practicing and experimenting on it. It’s with Photoshop that we’ve created most of our work and has served us for such a long time for our digital collage art.

2.Adobe Illustrator
3.Paint Brushes
4.Pencil
