This vertical abstraction moves completely away from Arthur Chen's open, minimal voids, instead filling the canvas with a highly tactile, heavily layered impasto surface. Structured like a stylized impressionistic landscape, the composition moves horizontally through distinct geological and organic bands.
The upper hemisphere is dominated by a warm field of sandy beige, soft peach, and muted chartreuse green. This earth-toned expanse transitions into a dense, chaotic midsection of scraped grey and moss green, before culminating in a vibrant lower pool of thick, cerulean and sky blue paint.
